How to become an LM, FM, or IM?

Well Lichess Master (LM) is an artificial title unique to this site, and consisted of achieving a sustained rating of 2400 in one or more chess variants. Last I heard, however, this title is no longer being awarded, as it entails excess work for moderators.

FIDE Master (FM), International Master (IM), and Grand Master (GM) titles, can be claimed on Lichess by submitting proof to a moderator.

If you want to actually WIN the title of FM, IM, or GM, you have to achieve a rating of 2300, 2400, and 2500 elo, respectively, in FIDE-organised events, that is, real-life, official chess tournaments.

The conditions for achieving these titles are in reality more numerous than I've stated, but rating is the main factor.
