Teaching experience
I began coaching in 2011 when I got accepted as a sportsmen-instructor position in Moscow City Physical Culture and Sports Association, Karpov’s School Department. In 2016 I moved to the United States and got position in UTRGV as a chess instructor where I work currently.
Other experiences
I collected all best skills of Soviet chess school. My coaches GM Sergey Arkhipov, GM Valery Chekhov, GM Evgeny Bareev tough me how to prepare for the game, detect and use my opponents weaknesses. I got lucky to attend Mark Drovetsky’ session that’s how I improved my skills of converting and endgame technique. Currently I work with GM Bartek Macieja.
Best skills
I have very good analytical skills which helps me almost all the time guess what opening will happen in my game or games of my students. Dynamic and aggressive style is the best describing of my chess style. Rook endgames is my “business card” witch I am proud the most.
I am passionately like to share all my knowledge and experience with my students.
I am passionately like to share all my knowledge and experience with my students.
Teaching methodology
At first, I reveal weaknesses of my students and then we work to fill these “blind spots”. I teach how to work with Chess Base software when I build opening repertoire for my students.
