I see ASMJS or PNACL next to local analysis on the analysis board sometimes. What do they mean?
It's the technology that's used for the local Stockfish.
PNACL is the fastest, but it's not available in all browsers. ASMJS is used when PNACL is not available or if it crashed.
In the near future you might see "WASM" (WebAssembly) as another technology, the next versions of Firefox and Chrome have support for this technology. This will be faster than ASMJS but slower than PNACL, so lichess will prefer PNACL if available, but if it's not, then WASM is the next choice, and if that's not available, ASMJS.
