If he recaptures 12...gxf6 then 13 Bxe6 fxe6 14 Nh4 with attack on his weakened king position, threatening 15 Qg4+ or 15 Qh5. If he recaptures 12...Qxf6 then you have the tactical shot 13 Nd4 attacking both his queen and his knight. You took only 11 seconds for your 12 Qe2, despite having 15 minutes still in this 15+10 game. Take your time to think in the opening.
