Well, until now I disabled the Adblocker for lichess. With uBlockOrigin's Element Picker the little yellow grinch is now history.

While you're right Lichess does need money to function, @Cedur216 is correct. It is a courtesy, not an obligation, but it would really help to build lichess up.

Lichess is expensive to run, and counts on donations as well to run the site. Do you like how lichess is right now? no ads, doesn't sell your personal data, and a free website?
That's partly due to donations.
