- Lichess is a non-profit organization, which means that it is administratively recognized as such.
- Thibault is the one who had the idea of making Lichess and he is surrounded by a team of mods.
- Thibault is neither leader, nor boss, nor president. Lichess works collectively, with the work of the entire team, itself separated into several other work teams according to the skills of each on different points (bugs, moderation, improvement of the platform).
- in the event of Thibault's disappearance, nothing will change administratively, Lichess keeps its associative status (unless there is a change in French legislation).
- Nevertheless, this would represent an immense emotional loss because Thibault is the one who had the idea of Lichess and made it happen with the right people. There is no reason to change the way Lichess works. and Thibault has no responsibility other than for the reasons I mentioned above
